Charles Leclerc supports Frederic Vasseur’s continuation at Ferrari
In recent months, when rumors began circulating that put Frederic Vasseur’s future at Ferrari in question, both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc publicly expressed great respect and appreciation for their team principal. It is no secret that both drivers strongly advocated for the renewal of the French manager, with whom they have built a solid relationship since their early careers.
In an extensive interview given to the weekly magazine Autosprint, Charles Leclerc discussed the multi-year contract renewal of Frederic Vasseur, emphasizing the importance of continuity in Formula 1: “Having continuity is always important. Especially because when you start again from scratch, there is always a period of adaptation that costs time, and time in Formula 1 is crucial.”

Charles Leclerc revealed that his connection with the team principal goes beyond just professional boundaries: “My relationship with Fred has evolved very naturally. He was my first team principal at Sauber, and now he is at Scuderia Ferrari. Our relationship is very professional but also, undeniably, personal. We don’t even need to speak to understand each other; we share the same vision of what we want to achieve and how to do it.”
Furthermore, Charles Leclerc and Frederic Vasseur have business interests together, as was reported a few weeks ago, further strengthening their unique and trusted partnership.
