Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc explains why the Brazilian Grand Prix at Autódromo José Carlos Pace is a very special place for him:
“I really like the [Interlagos circuit] race. And I remember when I was younger, I always chose São Paulo on the Playstation to drive in Formula 1! Maybe I can be faster now in real life (laughs). I like it a lot here. My only idol is Ayrton Senna, so yes, Brazil is a very special place. So seeing Ayrton’s movie, always made me dream of competing here. 2018 was the realisation of a dream for me in Formula 1. “There are four places in the world where I am impressed by the fans: Japan, Italy is also very special, Mexico and Brazil. Brazil is very special and as soon as I arrived at the airport, everybody was there and it made me smile, made me very happy. The support of the fans here is very special.
