On Tuesday, Scuderia Ferrari ended another day of F1 testing on top, this time with Charles Leclerc, while this morning Sebastian Vettel ended the session with the second best result, just behind former teammate Kimi Raikkonen, but with the German driver completing the equivalent of a full race distance for long-running Ferrari, in what can be considered another positive session for the Maranello team.
Daniel Ricciardo, Lewis Hamilton, Christian Horner and Franz Tost are just some of those who admitted that Ferrari’s pace in these early stages seems to be impressive and while all looks good for the Prancing Horse, Charles Leclerc has played down the performance advantage of the team, explaining that the results should not be considered relevant at this stage of the pre-season testing period. Asked to comment on Ferrari’s strong start in Barcelona, Charles Leclerc said: “Reliability has been a strong point. Performance, we can’t know because everyone is on different plans. But we went through the plan we wanted every day so far so hopefully it will continue.”
