The new Ferrari x Leclerc collaboration kicks off: the Monegasque enters the luxury clothing scene, and the prices are sky-high. A beach towel for €420, a water bottle for €120, socks for €85, and even a denim jumpsuit for €1,990—it’s a plunge into luxury for #16, just ahead of his home Grand Prix. A collection “balanced between performance and elegance,” as Federico Rocca writes in Vanity Fair.
Formula 1 moves to the Principality of Monaco, the second stop in the first European triple-header. The Imola Grand Prix was just a small appetizer: the next two races could give significant direction to the championship—or fully reopen the fight for Red Bull (and perhaps even Ferrari). It’s a second home race for Charles Leclerc who, after Italy, returns to his own streets.
The Monegasque driver—who will mark the occasion with a special racing suit—is also launching a new capsule collection in collaboration with Rocco Iannone, creative director at Maranello. A “bold, but not aggressive” project, as Charles Leclerc describes it to Vanity Fair: “The mindset has changed: we drivers are increasingly attentive to how we dress and to what we communicate—about our values too—through our look.”
Less “racing”, more fashion: the new F1 paddock
“In the past, paddocks were filled only with car enthusiasts, whereas today there are also people passionate about other areas, like fashion,” the Ferrari driver explains. “Motorsport is elegant—it’s in the process behind it: there’s a car, a driver, and a team, and I find it beautiful how they all work together in a very fluid flow, in unison.”
“My favorite item in the collection? The hoodies: they allow me to protect myself, at least a little, from the outside world. And to preserve my privacy—private life is becoming less and less private.” If the pieces aren’t aggressive in style, the same can’t be said for the prices: a hoodie, for instance, goes for €650 or €690 if you choose the Riviera blue version.
Everything can be found on Ferrari’s official store: denim trousers (€790), denim shirts (€890), hooded parkas (€2,300), and cotton jumpsuits (€2,600). Also drawing attention is a very elegant beach towel, perfect for a stay on the Côte d’Azur, offered at €420, accompanied by a €120 water bottle. A surprise for tennis lovers too: for €290, they can buy a nylon Ferrari x Leclerc ball holder.
