Ferrari, Leclerc and Hamilton return the love of the fans
A fourth place and a sixth place were certainly not the results that Ferrari fans were hoping for from the Monza weekend. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, however, could hardly have achieved more at the Temple of Speed while driving a car that was clearly the third force on track behind McLaren and Red Bull. For this very reason, the two drivers were still cheered and celebrated by the passionate Monza crowd even after the chequered flag.
Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton closed their first Monza together side by side after the Ascari chicane, greeting the supporters and thanking them for the affection they had shown throughout the entire week. It was a love without limits, although not matched with results that this year have almost never been worthy of the proud history of the Scuderia.

It is worth noting that right behind the two Ferrari drivers was Carlos Sainz, who spent four years racing for Ferrari. Despite some criticism, the Spaniard – nicknamed “Smooth Operator” – left a generally positive memory in the minds of the Tifosi. At Monza, in particular, he was the star of a brilliant pole position in 2023, and in his final season in red he played a crucial role in Charles Leclerc’s triumph.
