Less than a month to go until the start of the 2023 Formula 1 championship, five days to go until the presentation of the new Ferrari SF-23 challenger. There is a lot of hype in the Ferrari world and a huge desire to win the 2023 Formula 1 world title. Starting with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who are getting ready for the new season with a tough preparation that sees them work tirelessly and not just on the simulator. Today’s edition of the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport provides more details about it.
As we said, these are very intense days in the Maranello headquarters, where the new SF-23 was design, a car which will be presented next Tuesday morning. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are well aware that this year the Ferrari people want to win the title, after having tasted the feeling of competitiveness again during the past season. For this reason, both are working almost non-stop, on the simulator and in the gym, in order to be ready at the beginning of March, when the first championship weekend (March 3-5) is scheduled in Bahrain.
Referring to how the Monegasque and the Spanish spend their days, today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport states: “Working very hard. For the continuous meetings with the engineers, for the instructions, the feedback on what emerges from the simulator from time to time, precisely. And for the physical training: given that with all those runs, and all those endless journeys (drivers will change continents nine times, with as many ocean crossings during the season), it is necessary to work hard from this point of view. And therefore Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are already immersed in the 2023 F1 campaign” – La Gazzetta dello Sport writes.
But the good news doesn’t end there. Yes, because the Italian newspaper also reports that the two Ferrari drivers have decided to take a very important step, that of moving to a house near Maranello. Carlos Sainz did it in Sassuolo, while Charles Leclerc “is said to be looking for, or that perhaps he has found, in the even closer Castelvetro, the capital of Lambrusco, where Jean Todt also lived in his Ferrari years. A nice sign” – Gazzetta dello Sport concluded.
