In collaboration with EA SPORTS, Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc and Williams’ Alex Albon will also virtually race the Monaco GP. Here’s when and how to follow it.
For Charles Leclerc and Alexander Albon, the Monaco Grand Prix won’t be the only race they compete in this weekend. The two drivers will also participate in a virtual race in collaboration with EA Sports for the event “The 10 Racers’ Virtual Race in Monaco.”
The two drivers will race alongside footballers Diego Jota and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and several content creators. The virtual race will follow the same path as the “real” one through the winding streets of Monaco, just a few days before the official start of the Monaco event: “The race will take place on Wednesday, May 22, at 7:00 PM local time and will also feature some drivers from the F1 Academy. It will be hosted by Naomi Schiff, a Sky Sport presenter, and Matt Gallagher. You can follow it on the official Formula 1 YouTube platform.”
“F1 24, released by EA Sports, aims to give F1 fans the most realistic gaming experience possible, providing players with the maximum feeling of driving an F1 car. Moreover, the game will have updates that allow players to experience new scenarios.” This is the announcement from F1 about the race.
The two drivers were chosen to promote the new game, taking advantage of the historic setting of Monaco for its promotion. The Principality will thus also serve as the backdrop for promoting the new game created by EA Sports.
Charles Leclerc’s participation is not coincidental, as Monaco is his home race. Indeed, in Monaco, the Ferrari driver will once again try to secure a coveted podium that has consistently eluded him in his home race. In short, it will be a busy weekend for Charles Leclerc.
