The Spanish driver has fellow Audi teammates Mattias Ekstrom and Stephane Peterhansel at his service. After this 46th edition, the Four Rings manufacturer will exit the Dakar to focus on Formula 1. “Everything is going well; we started competitively with many others. Now let’s see what happens, but we’re following the same strategy. Where do I feel better with the Audi? The car is not much different from last year. In this race, you have to face everything—fast dunes, slow ones, sand, stones. You need a versatile car that performs well everywhere,” stated Carlos Sainz senior as a guest on Sky Sport 24.

“What I like so much about Carlos is that he keeps improving. He is still young but already has a lot of experience behind him.
