The 2024 Formula 1 season is about to kick off, and here are all the schedules for races, qualifying sessions, and free practice sessions. The noteworthy revelation is the confirmation of three races on Saturdays, as previously hinted in the hypothetical projection of the 2024 F1 calendar.
The 2024 season will commence with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 2, taking place on a Saturday, which is entirely exceptional. Since 2014, the opening race has been held in Bahrain, except for the 2020 edition, which underwent several changes due to Covid.
The first two races of this year’s championship will be held on a Saturday. This unusual occurrence hasn’t happened in a while, excluding the Las Vegas GP in 2023, which took place on Saturday night due to a time zone difference.
The 2024 Formula 1 calendar includes a record-breaking 24 races. Additionally, there are six Sprint Races planned in China, Miami, Austria, Austin, Brazil, and Qatar. The schedules for weekends following the Sprint format have not been communicated yet, except for the race on Sundays.
The weekends with Sprint Races are scheduled for April 20 (China), May 4 (Miami), June 29 (Spielberg), October 19 (Austin), November 2 (Interlagos), and November 30 (Losail). Below is the table with all the timings to follow each Formula 1 weekend.
The timings in the table adhere to the time zone of the host country for each race weekend.
