In an interview at the Festival dello Sport, Carlos Sainz expressed his opinion on how he would see a potential championship fight between him and Charles Leclerc. “Charles and I are often very close,” said the Spaniard. “We have never fought for the title. At Monza, we fought for third place, and even in the battle for pole position, we weren’t far apart. I think it wouldn’t be any different in the fight for the championship.”
He also had a message for Ferrari and the team. His desire to perform well is evident in his words. “We all want to go in the same direction. We have never lost the belief that we can win, and we will never give up. Ferrari is capable of winning.” – the Spaniard pointed out.

Finally, Carlos Sainz also talked about his relationship with Charles Leclerc: “Charles and I have had three years to get used to each other and build mutual respect. We have participated in many interviews and events together, and we often laugh together. The relationship is definitely good. When time allows, we even call Lando Norris and other drivers to play golf together.”
