Carlos Sainz makes personal Ferrari claim following solid form since summer break. Carlos Sainz makes personal Ferrari claim after strong run of results.

Scuderia Ferrari Spanish driver Carlos Sainz feels his performance has peaked since his arrival at the Maranello team two years ago, as the teammate of Charles Leclerc, since replacing Sebastian Vettel in 2021.

Currently in his third F1 championship with the Italian side, Carlos Sainz has secured 15 out of his total 17 career podiums, which include his maiden career victory at the Silverstone circuit last season, followed by another triumph this year at the Marina Bay street circuit in Singapore, ending Max Verstappen’s dominating streak of victories.

Following the summer break in August, the Spanish driver showed an impressive form and has outperformed Charles Leclerc in the Netherlands, Italy, and Singapore, although he did finish behind the Monegasque driver in the latest round of the 2023 Formula 1 campaign, the Japanese Grand Prix at the Suzuka circuit.

Carlos Sainz secured pole positions in both Italy and Singapore, leading to a third-place finish and a victory, respectively, marking his first podiums of the current championship. Since becoming a part of the Ferrari team, Carlos Sainz has often been outpaced his Maranello teammate, who has notched three victories and 13 pole positions. However, the recent races have significantly boosted Carlos Sainz’s confidence.

“I’m not going to lie, I’m feeling very well with the car and I’m driving very well, probably the best since I’ve been a Ferrari driver and finally I’m extracting my full potential,” – the Ferrari man said in a recent interview for the media – “And I’m happy to see that. I’m happy, too, with the work that I’m doing with my engineers to little by little keep extracting more and more potential and more performance out of the car. It’s obviously going to give me a lot of confidence moving forward. We need to keep working on the race pace. In Monza, you could see what happened and Singapore was another good test to see how much progress we’ve made in that area.” – the Spaniard concluded.
