Carlo Vanzini specifically focused on the results achieved by Fred Vasseur’s team after the summer break. Red Bull, led by Max Verstappen, scored 96 points. Mercedes also performed well, securing victory in Singapore thanks to a stunning drive from George Russell, collecting 89 points after the break. Ferrari? Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton managed just 40 points combined.
Carlo Vanzini did not hold back, delivering a sharp critique of Ferrari: “If you are always finding excuses—something wrong with execution, Saturday, Friday, or here—and you lack awareness of the zero you are in, you will remain a zero.”
The journalist then called for reflection across the entire organization: “If you don’t have a global discussion, I believe a face-to-face is essential right now. Everyone—from logistics, those who ship Ferrari parts around the world, to the drivers and the team president—needs to look each other in the eye, discuss, and put forward ideas.”
Ferrari must find a way to recover, “because right now this is one of the lowest points in the history of Formula 1” for Fred Vasseur’s team. He added: “I’m not saying this alone; the numbers speak for themselves.”
Formula 1 will now take another week off before resuming on the other side of the world in Austin, Texas.
