Fred Vasseur comments on Ferrari’s disappointing Singapore GP
Here are Fred Vasseur’s words after the Singapore Grand Prix. “It was certainly a difficult day. The problem started after FP1. We struggled with execution and were unable to get the maximum out of the car. The issue also came from starting in the middle of the pack, which affected cooling.”
He then tried to highlight some positive aspects of the performance from the two Maranello cars driven by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. “The pace with Lewis was good, very good. Towards the end, we were only able to push for about 1% of the race and had to limit ourselves. But as he said, there was an execution issue.”
“We showed the potential of the car, but we were not able to put everything together over the weekend. We failed to follow the evolution of the track. The execution problem caused us considerable difficulties, and the result was exactly what everyone saw,” concluded the Ferrari team principal.
