Fred Vasseur never stops being ironic and always shows his playful side at Ferrari. A new video has appeared where the Ferrari team principal continues his trend of nicknames after those given to Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
When asked by the interviewer about a nickname he finds fitting for himself, the team principal replied, “George Clooney, but for the coffee.” The reference is to the well-known Nespresso commercial, practically known by everyone, where the American actor sips coffee and then adds, “Nespresso, what else?” (CLICK HERE FOR THE VIDEO)
Fred Vasseur, George Clooney, and his greatest fear
In the same video, filmed by Formula 1, Fred Vasseur also assigned very particular nicknames to his two drivers. “Charlo and Lulu” are the two nicknames for the drivers that brought many smiles on social media. Fred Vasseur’s spontaneity is indeed one of the most beloved traits of the Ferrari team principal.
But these were not the only questions posed to Fred Vasseur. What is the greatest fear or phobia of the French engineer? “Skipping dinner!” the team principal replied, amused and ironic. The reference to the nickname given by fans, Chef Vasseur, was inevitable.
Finally, the last question concerned which past driver he would have liked to have in his team. His preference went to fellow countryman Jean Alesi. In short, Fred Vasseur enjoys joking and always knows how to bring a smile to the faces of fans and all motorsport lovers.
The next event on the calendar is the Miami GP, where Ferrari will seek confirmation after the first podium of the season obtained at the Jeddah circuit. Charles Leclerc seems to be on the right path to push the SF-25 to the maximum. Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, still seems not to have found the right setup. It is up to the “very cheerful” Fred Vasseur to continue pushing and motivating his two drivers to finally turn around what has so far been a rather troubled season.
