Ferrari, Benedetto Vigna remains optimistic
Scuderia Ferrari aims to end its 2023 Formula One season on a high note. It has been a year with limited moments of joy for the Tifosi, although the Maranello team managed to halt Red Bull’s otherwise unstoppable run by winning in the Singapore Grand Prix thanks to Spanish driver Carlos Sainz.
For the Scuderia, ending the championship on a high would mean approaching the winter work with confidence in next year’s project, much like Mercedes, which introduced a new floor on the W14 single-seater in Austin and now has more certainty about the direction to close the gap with the championship leaders.
Comments from Benedetto Vigna
The chief executive officer of the Maranello-based company, Benedetto Vigna, also believes that the conclusion of the 2023 Formula One season can be an opportunity to prepare for 2024: “Recent podiums and the improvements made give us the confidence to prepare for the next season. It’s clear that we need to continue improving and closing our technical gap. On one hand, we are strengthening the team under the leadership of Frederic Vasseur, and on the other, we are expanding our racing production infrastructure, which will ensure greater development speed and quality,” Benedetto Vigna said during a video meeting with analysts on the third-quarter results.
Sales Figures
For Ferrari, viewed as a company rather than a racing team, today has been an important day. The quarterly data released today has been record-breaking: net revenues of 1.5 billion euros, up 23.5% from the previous year, with total deliveries of 3,459 units, an 8.5% increase from the third quarter of 2022. Net income amounted to 332 million euros, a 46% increase.
