Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna has expressed his confidence in the team as Formula 1 enters the final stretch of the season, identifying the key factors necessary for the Scuderia to return to victory. The Maranello chief spoke during the presentation of the “Mezza Maratona d’Italia,” an event that will start in the same town where Ferrari’s headquarters are located and even pass through the company’s grounds. During the event, Benedetto Vigna shared his thoughts on the current Formula 1 campaign, underlining Ferrari’s goals for the final races of the year.
The recent performances of the SF-25 have brought renewed optimism in Ferrari’s battle with Mercedes and Red Bull for second place in the Constructors’ Championship. Thanks to strong showings in Austin and Mexico, the momentum has shifted, and the Scuderia has managed to move back up, positioning itself right behind McLaren.
The importance of teamwork and cohesion
Speaking to Leggo during the half-marathon event, Benedetto Vigna discussed Ferrari’s recent results in Formula 1. While the team’s performances have been encouraging, he emphasized the need for focus and unity ahead of the final four races of the season, which resumes next week in Brazil.
“There are some teams where everything seems to work better than for us. We must make sure that all the ingredients needed to win again start working properly,” said the Ferrari CEO. “The double podium achieved by Charles Leclerc? It’s a sign that makes us happy, but of course, we have to keep our feet on the ground.”
Despite the difficulties faced throughout the season, Benedetto Vigna highlighted that there is still an important goal within reach — securing second place in the Constructors’ standings. “The season has not gone as we expected. We continue to work in a united and cohesive way because there are still four races left; we must give our best and see how it ends,” Benedetto Vigna concluded.
