Alfa Romeo’s Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi diverge slightly on tyre choices for Austrian GP. Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi tyres for Austria.

Formula One official tyre supplier Pirelli has confirmed the tyres that each driver will bring to the Austrian Grand Prix, just one weekend after the race in France.

Alfa Romeo drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi have made slightly different tyre choices for the ninth round of the 2019 Formula One season. Kimi Raikkonen will bring just one set of the C2 Hards and also three sets of the C3 Mediums for the Austrian Grand Prix, while the Italian driver will use two sets of C3 Mediums and two sets of C2 Hards. Both Alfa Romeo drivers will be able to use nine sets of the C4 Red soft tyres during the race weekend.

Mercedes has opted for a more aggressive selection than Ferrari, as it will bring nine sets of the C4 compound, which will be the softest available to the drivers throughout the weekend. Ferrari meanwhile, will bring just seven sets of the red-walled tyre, which will feature prominently during qualifying.
