Free Practice 1 gets underway at 1:30 PM (Italian time) and will run for one hour, finishing at approximately 2:30 PM, unless any red flags prompt Race Control to extend the session.
Silverstone marks the fourth Sprint weekend of the 2026 Formula 1 season, meaning FP1 will be the only practice session available before the cars head straight into Sprint Qualifying later today.
Before this afternoon’s Sprint Qualifying session, scheduled for 5:30 PM (Italian time), there are already plenty of key storylines to follow. Ferrari is looking for answers after a disappointing weekend at the Red Bull Ring, while Max Verstappen will be aiming to prove he can match the pace of the two Mercedes drivers on a circuit that presents completely different aerodynamic demands and track characteristics.
