Technical Analysis of the Sauber Stake 2024 – The Sauber C44 brings many innovations and a detail confirming the Ferrari SF-24 spoiler. Following the Haas and Williams presentations (livery only), Sauber also unveils its new single-seater. The striking green livery is confirmed, along with some interesting updates aimed at enhancing on-track performance.
Here’s a first short technical analysis of the new Sauber F1 Stake, set to compete in the 2024 championship. In this case, certain solutions are likely borrowed from the Ferrari SF-24, which we will see next week when the Maranello team will officially present its single-seater for the upcoming Formula 1 campaign.
The most impactful development is the modification of the front suspension, transitioning from a push-rod to a pull-rod system. This change will lower the center of gravity, consequently improving the dynamic behavior of the car on the track.
There are also innovations in the side pods, reminiscent of Red Bull’s style, aimed at enhancing the performance of the car’s underbody and rear.
The second Ferrari-powered engine features a wide airscoop for optimized cooling. With significantly reduced side pods, it’s plausible to assume that the gearbox radiator has been relocated above the power unit, necessitating a modification to the air intake above the drivers’ helmets.
Legal troubles for Sauber
In recent hours, concerns have multiplied over a Formula 1 team sponsored by a casino banned in Switzerland. On the morning of February 7, the team’s website was blocked, and Sauber seems to be consulting its legal team to sever ties with Stake and avoid government sanctions.
