Intermediate and full wet tires won’t be needed
After two days marked by rain as forecasted, today in Zandvoort, the Dutch Grand Prix will be characterized by clear skies.
The chances of rain throughout the day are at 25%, but not during the Grand Prix, which starts at 3:00 PM. The maximum expected temperature is 20°C, with winds blowing from the Southwest at 35 km/h, with gusts possibly reaching 52 km/h.
Strategically, a dry race doesn’t eliminate all uncertainties, quite the opposite. The soft tire seems likely to degrade quickly, while bringing the hard compound up to temperature could be challenging, potentially leading to graining.
