Charles Leclerc breaks the spell in Monaco, wins, wins again after almost two years, and closes the gap to Max Verstappen in the standings.
It was a straightforward race in Monaco for the Monegasque because the red flag after the first start allowed everyone to change tires without having to pit during the race. Second place went to Oscar Piastri, followed by Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris, both of whom passed Sergio Perez, who didn’t score any points in Monte Carlo. Scuderia Ferrari closes in significantly on Red Bull.
It was a positive weekend for McLaren as well, while Mercedes decisively pulls ahead of Aston Martin in the fight for fifth place.
Williams is also celebrating today, earning their first points of the season and tying Alpine with two points. Only Sauber remains without any points.
