2019 Singapore GP, Ferrari second practice report: Sebastian P3, Charles P6. Ferrari second practice report.

Practice 2019

Lewis Hamilton edged out Red Bull rival Max Verstappen to lead Mercedes to the front of the pack in second practice for the Singapore Grand Prix as traffic masked Scuderia Ferrari’s true pace.

Traffic was a big issue for many throughout FP2, including the Maranello team, as Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc both finished adrift from the pace-setters. Sebastian Vettel was eight-tenths of a second behind Hamilton after his first qualifying simulation lap was compromised by Lance Stroll, while Charles Leclerc (the Monegasque’s car was equipped with a new gearbox in the wake of an FP1 problem) was a further four-tenths off in P6. Valtteri Bottas slotted into fifth for Mercedes, 1.1 seconds off his teammate’s time.

Third practice for the Singapore Grand Prix will take place on Saturday at 18:00 local time

Here are the complete results from the second practice (FP2) session from the Marina Bay circuit in Singapore.
