In a surprising twist of events, Charles Leclerc found himself undertaking a challenging road journey lasting 14 hours to reach Zandvoort for the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix. This was due to a debilitating ear infection that made flying impossible for him.
After contracting the unfortunate ear infection, Charles Leclerc had to rethink his travel arrangements and ultimately chose to endure a demanding car journey spanning more than 14 hours from his home in Monaco to Zandvoort.
This unexpected change in transportation was deemed essential to ensure his participation in the eagerly awaited race weekend.
Despite this unforeseen obstacle, insiders assure that the ear infection will not hinder Charles Leclerc from demonstrating his racing skills at the Dutch Grand Prix.
Formula 1 presenter Will Buxton shed light on the situation, remarking that Charles Leclerc‘s determination remains strong despite the challenges posed by the infection.
“Charles Leclerc had an ear infection as well, so he couldn’t fly here. He had to drive here.”

Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll also faced a similar challenge, causing him to forego his media commitments at Zandvoort as he concentrates on recovering from the infection.
