Early wake-up for Europe
The FIA has released the session schedules for all 24 rounds of the 2025 F1 World Championship. One notable change is the two-hour shift forward for all sessions of the Las Vegas GP, with FP1 and FP3 starting at 4:30 PM local time and FP2, Qualifying, and the Race at 8:00 PM. Due to the time difference, FP1 and FP3 will take place at 1:30 AM in Europe, while FP2, Qualifying, and the Race will start at 5:00 AM instead of 7:00 AM (Central European Standard Time).
There are several reasons behind this decision by the organizers, including accommodating drivers and staff, who will face Las Vegas as the first of three consecutive races that will conclude the 2025 season (with the next stop being Qatar, which is not exactly nearby).
Additionally, Liberty Media prioritized the American audience over the European one, which will now have to wake up two hours earlier to watch the Las Vegas GP live. This schedule shift will also impact temperatures, which are expected to be milder compared to the 2023 and 2024 editions.
