Andrea Kimi Antonelli claimed victory in the Sprint race at the British Grand Prix after pulling off a decisive overtake on Lewis Hamilton along Silverstone’s famous Hangar Straight.

The championship leader made a strong start from the front row, but Sprint pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton managed to hold onto the lead through the opening corners.
During the early laps, Lewis Hamilton attempted to build a gap at the front. However, around the halfway point of the Sprint, Andrea Kimi Antonelli began closing in and soon filled the mirrors of the Ferrari SF-26 carrying the number 44.
The decisive move came on the Hangar Straight heading towards Stowe Corner. Andrea Kimi Antonelli swept past Lewis Hamilton, who was unable to defend against the Italian driver’s attack.
