Scuderia Ferrari leaves China and is already gearing up for the United States, as the Miami International Autodrome in Florida will host the next round of the 2024 Formula 1 championship. While awaiting developments for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, Scuderia Ferrari’s novelty in Miami will be in the livery, tinged with an evocative blue.
The Imola weekend will see the Prancing Horse equip itself with additional means to close in on Red Bull, but before the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, there is Florida. In the first appointment on the other side of the Atlantic, Ferrari will be adorned in blue for a nostalgic livery as part of a project that goes beyond Formula 1.
“The chromatic choice is also a historical reference to the bond between Ferrari and the American racing world, in the year of the 70th anniversary of the brand’s presence overseas,” states the Italian company’s press release, as it prepares to celebrate the significant milestone. “Here (in the USA), the Rosso Corsa, the shade that has characterized Italian racing cars since the 1920s, gave way to the white-blue of the United States in the last two races of the 1964 F1 season.” The Prancing Horse used this livery “also for other cars of the North American Racing Team, founded by importer Luigi Chinetti.”
Ferrari blue beyond F1: pre-Miami celebrations
The aim, extending beyond F1, will be to evoke memories for American enthusiasts. “An exceptional series of experiences in the USA is dedicated to all of them. From April 28th to May 5th, they will highlight every facet of the Prancing Horse.” The Ferrari statement, which was published earlier today by the Maranello team’s official website, continues: “Everything will kick off with the Cavalcade international, the quintessential Ferrari world journey, which will traverse Tennessee and Florida en route to Miami, where a highly anticipated world premiere will take center stage, alongside the energy of lifestyle and the spectacle of the Formula 1 Grand Prix.”
The livery colors will be different from usual: “Ferrari will know how to ignite this journey with new and unexpected colors. The Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino, dating back to Ferrari’s origins and cherished by its fans, will be rediscovered in moments that will make the adventure in the United States even more special.
Ferrari: when will the Miami livery be presented?
The unveiling of the special SF-24 look for Miami will be communicated by Ferrari itself: “In the coming days, these memory-rich shades will reclaim their place in the Ferrari world, from racing to road cars, to celebrate a tradition by reinterpreting it through today’s lens. The two shades of blue will come alive in various aspects of the Scuderia Ferrari world.”
“Among these there is “a special livery for the Formula 1 SF-24 car, which will be used exclusively for the Miami race and unveiled in Florida”. – the Ferrari statement informs.
