One of the most important factors ahead of any Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend is of course represented by the weather conditions, which can have a great impact on the outcome. From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in very different races, and Formula 1 teams are always focused on this aspect in order to evaluate and choose their strategy options accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at high speeds.
This means that we should always keep on eye out on the weather before any Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend given the fact that it can often throw a curve ball into the mix.
As usual, the the Budapest weather is unpredictable this time of the year, with very warm temperatures expected at Hungaroring, but also thunderstorms that could hit the track at any point. For now, a short thunderstorms is expected for Friday and Saturday afternoon, which could affect the free practice sessions and the qualifying session, while conditions appear perfect for Sunday’s 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix.
Sunny, breezy and warm conditions are expected for Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix, while the high temperatures (about 32-33° on Saturday and Sunday). Once again Ferrari will have to focus on cooling the power unit front, in order to avoid overheating problems, as was the case in Spain.
