Let’s take a look at the weather forecast for the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix (latest weather forecast for Spielberg):
One of the most important factors ahead of any Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend is of course represented by the weather forecast, that can often have a great impact on the outcome of the race. From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in a very different way of approaching the weekend, and Formula 1 teams are always focused on this aspect in order to evaluate and choose their best strategy options accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at top speeds.
This means that we should always keep on eye out on the weather before any Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend given the fact that it can often throw a curve ball into the mix. However, this time Spielberg seems to be a straightforward weekend. Conditions appear perfect ahead of the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix weekend, at least for the Sprint Race on Saturday and for the main event on Sunday afternoon: Sunny, breezy and pleasant conditions are expected from the weekend, while ideal temperatures (about 23-24° on Saturday and Sunday) are expected to enhance the qualities of the new Pirelli tyres, which will once again be a key factor for the Formula 1 teams in this next event of the 2022 Formula 1 championship at the Red Bull Ring. While the Sprint event and main race on Sunday will most likely take place in dry conditions, there are some doubts for Friday’s qualifying session, given the fact that a little rain is expected during the day, but it remains to be seen if it will indeed affect the first free practice session or the qualifying session for the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix:
