We’ve seen all sorts of things these days: videos and technical analyzes that dissect the images released by Ferrari to announce a new sponsor or to remind us on social media that there was a month left before the presentation of the 675 challenge, the Maranello team’s car for next season.
It would have been enough to ask the source (Motorsport Italy) to find out if the shots that were published were… spoilers of the 2023 single-seater, as other Formula 1 teams usually do, in particular Mercedes and McLaren: Maranello’s answer was simple and clear, all the photographs were taken on the F1-75. No anticipation of the 2023 red car.
And, indeed, in the game of roles, by lightening the image of the front wing seen from the side which was published on social networks, a writing had been deliberately added (no peeking 14 02 2023: literally do not peep) which removed any doubt that it was from last year’s car and not the new one.
It should come as no surprise that every year the hunt for the first hints on the new Ferrari begins: sometimes the “tips” that escape from the Ferrari Racing Department are true, other times less, but it is different to pass off as real shots that are not, attributing to the Maranello team the inability to manage certain cuts of the images.
The Scuderia staff is anything but naive: we know how through the choice of shots is to hide the most innovative details, as we know of the tendency to manipulate the lateral photo to prevent the opponents from determining the pace of the car (this it is a practice that is practiced by all the teams), so it is impossible to be the unconscious release of glimpses of the car that the team doesn’t want to be seen.

In the recent history of the Maranello team we have seen photos of the new single-seater “stolen” shortly before the presentation, which duly ruined the launch and it is to be hoped that the issue does not occur this year .
But it is one thing to see the car and another thing to have the… visions. All the (detailed) descriptions of the 675 based on the glimpses of the single-seaters that have been analyzed were fake and it is a pity that the Prancing Horse fans have been misinformed by alleged analysts who pretend to report F1 news.
We’ll see who will be invited to the presentation of the 675 on 14 February in Maranello: Ferrari once again unveils its car with a live launch, in the presence of journalists. And it will be easy to look at each other…
