WEC 2026: Ferrari unveils the new 499P in Maranello
The wait is finally over. Two days ago, at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, Ferrari unveiled the 2026 livery of its 499P Hypercar for the World Endurance Championship.
The event was attended by Antonello Coletta, Global Head of Endurance and Corse Clienti—who will appear in an exclusive interview with us in the coming days filmed last Saturday in Rome—Ferdinando Cannizzo, Head of Endurance Race Cars, and the official Ferrari drivers forming the #50 crew with Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen, and the #51 crew with Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi, the latter also holding the title of World Drivers’ Champions.
2026 will be a crucial year for Ferrari, tasked with defending the titles won in the previous season. Maranello will enter the season as reigning champion both at the 24 Hours of Le Mans—where it achieved a historic consecutive hat-trick—and in the Constructors’ Championship, reaffirming its status as a benchmark in the Hypercar category.
A livery that honors the past while embracing continuity
The 499P’s livery continues to pay homage to the iconic 312 P that dominated endurance racing until 1973—the last year Ferrari competed for the overall classification before returning in 2023—while evolving with a modern sense of continuity.
The 499P’s design, created by the Ferrari Centro Stile, prominently features Rosso Scuderia, now in a new glossy finish rather than matte. The color and treatment match the SF-26 F1 car from the Scuderia Ferrari HP team for the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship.
The signature red, emblematic of Ferrari’s racing history since its founding by Enzo Ferrari in 1947, interacts once again with Giallo Modena, used to outline the car’s bodywork. In 2026, these lines particularly emphasize the volumes of the cockpit area.
New arrow styling highlights the cockpit
Compared to previous versions, the 2026 499P features diagonal yellow lines forming an arrow—a style introduced with the 2023 car—but this year the arrow points toward the rear wing rather than along the direction of travel. This choice by the Ferrari Centro Stile aims to further emphasize the centrality of the cockpit: not only as a structural and physical element located at the heart of the car, but also as a strongly symbolic area for a racing Hypercar.
Below are the official photos and videos of the new 499P, the car Ferrari will use to write another chapter in the history of world endurance racing.
