Following Ferrari’s triumph, which saw the three 499Ps monopolize the podium at the 1812 km of Qatar, the Endurance World Championship circus moves to Italy, to the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit. Below is the full program for the weekend of April 18-20, including session times and all the side events organized for the many fans expected to attend the 6 Hours of Imola.
The long wait is finally coming to an end. After the first round in Losail, there was a break of over a month before seeing the cars back on track. Expectations among Ferrari fans worldwide are sky-high. For the first time since the Prancing Horse returned to endurance racing, its cars managed to win the season opener.
Now, the series arrives at Imola, in completely different conditions. The track is narrower than Losail, the desert heat is replaced by a milder climate with the ever-present risk of rain, and overtaking will be much more challenging. Therefore, Saturday’s qualifying session will be crucial for securing a strong starting position.
What happened last year?
Last year’s GP was highly turbulent. In qualifying, with a massive home crowd in attendance, the three Ferraris locked out the top three positions—pole for the #50, followed by the #81 and #51. However, the race produced a very different outcome. During the 6-hour event, heavy rain midway through the race caused the Ferraris to lose positions, with the best result being a fourth-place finish for Fuoco, Molina, and Nielsen.
Victory went to the #7 Toyota of Conway, Kobayashi, and De Vries, closely followed in the final hour by the #6 Porsche. In the LMGT3 class, BMW secured a 1-2 finish with the WRT team, as the #31 finished ahead of the #46 driven by Valentino Rossi.
This year, the situation looks different. Ferrari is aiming to replicate its Losail performance and thrill fans worldwide. To make sure you don’t miss a single moment of the action at Imola from April 18-20, here are all the key event times, ahead of the official presentation scheduled next week at Bologna Airport.
