The Austrian Grand Prix is just around the corner, as Red Bull Ring circuit will once again host a second Formula One event, just like in the 2020 season. From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in very different races, and Formula 1 teams adapt their strategy accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at high speeds. It is always well worth checking the weather before any grand prix as it can often throw a curve ball into the mix, especially in Spielberg were the weather can change very quickly.
For the first round in Austria, which took place last weekend, the initial forcast predicted a high chance of rain at the Red Bull Ring, but eventually the weekend was not affected by the unpredictable weather conditions. Now it once again looks like wet conditions are expected for the Austrian Grand Prix, for all three days of on track action in Spielberg:
