We’ve had the Italian Grand Prix – now it’s time to get up to speed with everything you need to know about the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix, Ferrari’s 1,000th F1 race, which takes place over 59 laps of the 5.245-kilometre Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello in Italy on Sunday, September 13.
2020 Tuscan Grand Prix weather forecast (Weather Info Scarperia e San Piero):
From the Formula 1 teams’ point of view, different weather conditions can result in very different races, and Formula 1 teams adapt their strategy accordingly, for example using different tyres in wet conditions, and taking account of cross winds which can cause stability problems at high speeds. It is always well worth checking the weather before any grand prix as it can often throw a curve ball into the mix, although this time Mugello will most likely be a straightforward weekend. Conditions appear excellent ahead of the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix weekend. The temperature for race day is expected to be around 31-32 degrees, while according to the latest forecast, there is no chance of rain for Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon. However, the high temperatures could lead to tyre management difficulties, as was the case a few weeks ago in Silverstone, which means the free practice sessions will be very important to understand the behaviour of the tyres in qualifying and race simulations, especially on a track where F1 teams have not raced before and have very little data.
