The eighth round of the Formula One season is scheduled to take place at the end of the week, as the Azerbaijan GP joins the F1 calendar. The race will be held on the Baku City Circuit, a street circuit in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The first Formula One race at the circuit, in 2016, was named the European Grand Prix.
Mercedes got back on track in the Canada Grand Prix after Lewis Hamilton and Valteri Bottas managed to score a one-two in Montreal while Daniel Ricciardo finished third on the podium for Red Bull Racing. German driver Sebastian Vettel also recovered from a terrible start of the race to climb and hold onto fourth place. However, Scuderia Ferrari will be disappointed after a couple of mishaps saw their drivers fail to finish on the podium for the first time in the 2017 Formula 1 championship. Mercedes look to have turn things around and the Maranello team now has to quick reply after loosing the lead in the Formula 1 Constructor Standings, ahead of the 2017 Azerbaijan GP.
Next Grand Prix will be in Baku, Azerbaijan, formally known as European Grand Prix, which takes place on the weekend of 23-25 June 2017 and the coverage begins on Friday, 23 June starting at around 10:00 uk time. The qualifying round takes place on Saturday, 24th June and the big race is at around 14:00 uk time.
