Scuderia Ferari driver Charles Leclerc’s brief reference to an issue with the throttle in his Ferrari led to wild and unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about his crash out of the lead of the 2022 French Grand Prix at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet.
The Ferarri driver threw away a potential win at Paul Ricard when he spun 360 degrees before nosing into the wall at the long Beausset right-hander. He took the blame for the mistake post-race and was highly critical of himself, but some Formula 1 fans and pundits suggested there was more to the incident than met the eye.
