On a difficult weekend for Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel was attempting to reclaim the third place he had just lost to Verstappen when he rear-ended the Red Bull driver at Club, putting both in the gravel. Verstappen was able to recover to fifth, while Seb – who required a pitstop the following lap for a change of nose – was classified 16th when a 10-second time penalty for the incident, which he accepted blame for, was applied.
