Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc show off Ferrari chemistry in fun pre-Monaco challenge
As Ferrari prepares for one of the most important weekends of the 2026 Formula 1 season, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have given fans a glimpse of the friendship developing between them away from the racetrack.
The Ferrari teammates recently took part in a light-hearted “Who’s Most Likely To” challenge, producing several memorable moments that quickly caught the attention of Formula 1 fans across social media. While the competition on track remains intense, the video highlighted the relaxed and humorous side of their partnership at Maranello.
One of the standout moments came when Lewis Hamilton poked fun at Charles Leclerc’s eating habits. The seven-time Formula 1 world champion joked that his teammate prefers very plain meals and avoids spices altogether, even suggesting that a trip to the Caribbean might be needed to introduce some extra “fire” into his diet.
Charles Leclerc was quick to defend himself, however. The Monegasque driver argued that eating spicy food before driving a Formula 1 car is not necessarily the best preparation for a race weekend, insisting there are good reasons behind his food choices.
The teasing continued when Lewis Hamilton turned his attention to another one of Charles Leclerc’s habits: sleeping. The British driver jokingly described his teammate as a sloth because of how much he likes to sleep, triggering plenty of laughter during the challenge.
Fans immediately embraced the playful exchange. Clips from the video spread rapidly online, generating thousands of likes, comments and shares as supporters enjoyed seeing a more relaxed side of the Ferrari drivers.
The challenge also offered further evidence of the strong relationship that appears to be forming between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. Since joining Ferrari, Hamilton has repeatedly spoken about the positive atmosphere within the team, while Leclerc has welcomed the experience and knowledge that the seven-time world champion brings to Maranello.
That chemistry could prove particularly valuable as Ferrari continues its push to challenge Mercedes during the second half of the season. Both drivers have made it clear that they are working closely together to help move the team forward, even while competing against each other on track.
The timing of the video was especially fitting, arriving just before the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. With Charles Leclerc racing at home and Ferrari expected to be among the leading contenders, anticipation is building for what could be one of the most important races of the season for the Scuderia.
For now, though, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have given Ferrari fans something else to enjoy. Before the pressure of qualifying and race day takes over, the two teammates have shown that there is no shortage of laughs inside the Ferrari garage.
Once the visor comes down, the focus will shift entirely to performance. Until then, Ferrari supporters can appreciate a partnership that seems to be growing stronger both on and off the track.
