The girlfriend of the fan has multiple sclerosis. To thank her boyfriend for everything he has done for her (taking care of her etc), she wanted him to meet Charles (because he is a huge Charles fan). The Ferrari driver gifted them his signed personal gloves of the last part of the season, two Ferrari shirts & caps, two tickets for Disneyland Paris (it was their dream) & five flights for him [the fan] to get back to his family (because they had to go to North Italy due to her illness)
