Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton told Scuderia Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc that he was anxious to avoid hitting the F1-75 car when the two went wheel-to-wheel through Copse as they fought in the final part of the 2022 British Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit.
The moment was compared to the duel between Lewis Hamilton and his championship rival Max Verstappen on the first lap of the 2021 British Grand Prix, when Hamilton and Verstappen made contact, as the Red Bull was sent into the wall at high speed.
