The Ferrari exhibition which took place on Saturday 3 July at the Motor Valley Fest in Modena (Emilia-Romagna) sadly ended in drama. During the SF70H show on the street circuit of the Novi Sad park – the car with which Scuderia Ferrari raced in the 2017 Formula 1 season, a 45-year-old mechanic from Maranello was seriously injured after being hit by the car on his right foot, probably for a wrong maneuver made by driver Olivier Beretta. Despite the accident, the event continued with the exhibition of various models of the Maranello team, as the exhibition was stopped only momentarily for the mechanic to receive medical assistance.
Immediately rescued and transported to the hospital in Baggiovara, also located in the Modena area, due to the unfortunate incident, it was necessary for the doctors to amputate his. Ferrari confirms this in a note, in which it is also written that the company “immediately took action to guarantee its colleague and his family all the necessary support from every point of view both at this stage and in the future” – while also stating that “at the express request of the family, no further updates will be provided”.
