Is there a place you want to race in particular?
Charles: “Honestly I would love to go to Africa one day! That would be amazing. I think they were some rumors but now I don’t know, I heard it is not so much likely. I don’t know, it‘s from the social media that I say that”

Charles on his pre-race rituals: “Especially this year, I have a cold bath. I have a cold bath at the track, especially for hot races. Some drivers do that, Carlos and I do that. We just go into the cold bath to lower the body temperature. Once you get into the car, it‘s extremely warm, you sweat a lot. But if you do the cold bath before, it feels much better inside the car.
And then just the normal physical warm up you do for the neck, shoulders. Mostly for the upper part. Sometimes we [Carlos] do football together. We are not that good, but I am getting better, I am actually playing better with my racing shoes at football than with actual football shoes!”

You play golf?
Carlos: “Some more than others.”
Charles laughs: “I like golf. I am just very bad at it, so I don’t play that often. Carlos enjoys it more because he is much better. But I still play sometimes.”
Carlos: “He can hit the ball.”

Did you pass your driving test in your first try?
Charles: “I did! Actually I had so much pressure like crazy because I was like, I am a racing driver!”
Carlos: Did he know though?
Charles: “Yes, he knew.”
Carlos: Then why the pressure?
Charles: “I mean Monaco is quite tricky. It was in the middle of Monaco, so it was quite tricky because you had cars going right, left, people crossing the roads.”
Carlos: But you know the streets very well.
Charles: “I do.
