The engine failure suffered by Carlos Sainz in the Austrian Grand Prix, like the one of Charles Leclerc in Spain is attributable to the hybrid part and the forced induction. That means something pretty different compared to Baku where the problems were the valves and the cylinder head.
This year Ferrari is paying the price of the MGU-H arrangement inside the engine V in the middle of the turbine and the compressor, with quite pushed maps to gain some power and this represents the main reason of the increased vibrations inside the forced induction group causing sudden failures.
