Scuderia Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz is launching the new merchandise specifically designed for the home Grand Prix in Spain, which will take place this week.
Following in the footsteps of his teammate Charles Leclerc, who did the same for the home race in Monaco, the Spanish driver showcases his new collection on Instagram.
“A special look for a special GP. Vamos!” writes Carlos Sainz. The merchandise, strictly in red and yellow, representing the colors of the Spanish flag, is created in collaboration with Puma Motorsport. In a video, the driver explains the choice behind this special collection:
“What’s special about this special edition? The hat features the #55, my logo, on top of the red color like the Spanish flag,” says Carlos Sainz, displaying the merchandise. The driver’s signature is also present on the back of the hat.
The red and yellow shoes also bear Carlos Sainz’s signature, a double “SS,” the #55, and a small chili pepper design (referring to one of the driver’s nicknames, ‘Chili,’ given by his fans).

A bitter weekend in Monaco
Carlos Sainz is coming off a bitter weekend in the Principality of Monaco. Ferrari proved to be the fifth force in the race, finishing sixth and eighth with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, respectively. After a Friday that seemed to raise hopes for the fans, the performance of the SF-23 gradually deteriorated on Saturday in qualifying and then collapsed on Sunday during the race.
