Here is the short footage recorded by Rebecca Marsiletti outside the Fiorano track that captures Carlos’ spin with the SF71H at the exit of the last corner of the Fiorano circuit during the second day of testing. The Spaniard continued his work without any problems.
Carlos Sainz spun under full acceleration at the exit of the last corner at Fiorano in the SF71H that Ferrari made available to him in the morning to begin training for the 2022 Formula 1 season. Carlos lost the red car due to the lack of grip caused by the very low temperature and the need to use Pirelli demo tires (the ones used have the white band, i.e. the harder compound), but he was very clever in controlling the red car that did a complete 360 degrees before being in the front direction and then continued without any problems, much to the the excitement of those present.
Motorsport.com thanked Rebecca Marsiletti, who recorded the video and provided them with this short moment of the incident. It is also worth mentioning the nice gesture of Carlos Sainz who, at the end of the session, went with the fans of the Prancing Horse and signed autographs and take pictures.
