Scuderia Ferrari arrived to the 2022 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi GP with two outstanding matters to settle, namely finishing second in both the Constructors’ and the Drivers’ championships. The missions were successfully completed by the Maranello team thanks to strong performances from Charles Leclerc, who finished second in at Yas Marina ahead of Red Bull’s Sergio Perez, his sole rival for the runner-up spot in the final standings, and from Carlos Sainz, who drove an aggressive two-stop race on his way to a fourth place finish which brought him enough points to claim fifth place in the drivers’ standings:
