The 2022 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix took place on 10 April at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Victoria. The event was the third round of the 2022 Formula One World Championship.
Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc started the race from pole position and won after dominating the race. Charles in fact secured his maiden career grand slam, having started in pole position, set the fastest lap, led every lap, and won the race ahead of Red Bull’s Sergio Pérez and George Russell for Mercedes. For Scuderia Ferrari the Melbourne race was the first grand slam since Spanish driver Fernando Alonso won the 2010 Singapore Grand Prix after starting from P1 leading every lap and also setting the fastest lap of the race.
