The drivers’ and constructors’ standings after the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at the Imola circuit still confirm the dominance of Max Verstappen and Red Bull, but Ferrari is close behind.
Max Verstappen extends his lead thanks to a Red Bull that plays in his favor. On the contrary, Sergio Pérez struggled: the Mexican suffered several overtakes. Ferrari had a hard time in the first part of the race, then it picked up. McLaren was much more comfortable, especially in the last phase with an extraordinary Lando Norris who, charged after Miami, got within almost a second of leader Verstappen.
In the end, the young Brit had to give up.
