Ferrari has secured a new addition to its Ferrari Driver Academy: young British driver Noah Baglin, just 13 years old, who is determined to follow in the footsteps of seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Ferrari has decided to bet on a new British prospect, Noah Baglin, who at only 13 years of age has officially joined the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA). The very young karting driver has a clear dream: to retrace the path of his fellow countryman Lewis Hamilton and, one day in the future, to reach the pinnacle of motorsport, Formula 1.
At the moment, Noah Baglin races with the highly respected Prema Karting team, an organization specifically created to nurture young talents with the potential to progress into higher categories of motorsport. His competitive journey began in 2019 when he won the MSA Le Conti Cup, and from that point forward, the victories have not stopped. Among his most notable recent achievements are his triumph at the British Open “O Plate”, a podium finish at the prestigious IAME World Finals in Le Mans, and victory at the historic Trofeo delle Industrie in Italy in 2023.
In 2024, Noah Baglin further underlined his talent by being recognized as the best rookie of the year and finishing the season as the number one driver in the FIA Karting world rankings. These outstanding results have caught the eye of Ferrari, which chose to include him in its prestigious junior program, the Ferrari Driver Academy.
Ferrari Driver Academy and its champions
Since its creation in 2009, the Ferrari Driver Academy has served as a true springboard for many drivers aiming for Formula 1. The very first member was the late Jules Bianchi, who impressed during his rookie season and was widely considered destined to become a Ferrari Formula 1 driver before his promising career was tragically cut short following the serious accident at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix.
The program has also welcomed Sergio Pérez, who made his Formula 1 debut with Sauber in 2011 before moving on to McLaren. Today, the most representative names linked to the Ferrari Driver Academy are Charles Leclerc, who is now leading the Scuderia Ferrari team in Formula 1, and Oliver Bearman, who is racing for Haas, a customer team of Maranello, and is considered one of the most exciting young talents on the grid.
By recruiting Noah Baglin, Ferrari has once again demonstrated its determination to invest in the brightest young prospects of international motorsport, with the hope that the young British driver will one day make his Formula 1 debut wearing the colors of the Prancing Horse.
