Scuderia Ferrari has passed the crash tests from the first attempt at the CSI of Bollate regarding the chassis for the 2020 Formula One car, which will be presented on February 11. This is the second single-seater homologated after Racing Point.
One month before the presentation date, Scuderia Ferrari has passed the first test that every project of a Formula 1 single-seater is called to face: the traditional crash test.
The fifteen tests required by the FIA to obtain chassis homologation were successfully passed at the CSI ‘Certification & Testing’ centre in Bollate, just outside Milan.
The 671 project (this is the internal name of the Maranello Sporting Management of the 2020 car) is now ready for the official name of the single-seater on 11 February.
According to rumors leaked in recent weeks, Ferrari is only the second team to pass the 2020 crash test after the Racing Point, as reported by Motorsport Italy.
In the same place where the chassis of the Prancing Horse has been certified, two weeks ago the frontal test supported by Alfa Romeo had failed, which will have to come back for a later test after the changes of the case.
