Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen has left Scuderia Ferrari at the end of the 2018 Formula One championship to join Alfa Romeo Racing for next two season, but Kimi still remains a fan favourite for the Maranello team’s faithful. Ferrari Club Caprino Bergamasco, one of the Italian side’s official fan clubs, was present at the testing session which took place last week at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona and took the opportunity to pay a tribute to Kimi by displaying a banner in the stands with the message “Kiitos Kimi” (Thank you Kimi).

Kimi Raikkonen entered Formula 1 in 2001 with Sauber despite having only ever contested 23 single-seater racers. A year later he signed with McLaren, bagging his first of his current 103 podiums. From McLaren he went to Scuderia Ferrari when he entered the season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix locked in a three-way battle for the Drivers’ Championship. Although that stands as Kimi Raikkonen’s only World title, he twice finished runner up with a further two P3s to his name, as he is currently Ferrari’s last world champion and most importantly one of the most beloved drivers in Formula 1.
